Abrams left during the first season, leaving the show to be run by Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. LOST’s first episode, which was two one hour parts, was the most expensive pilot ABC had ever filmed, costing somewhere between 10 and 14 million dollars. LOST was primarily filmed in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. LOST was widely loved by critics, especially in its first two seasons.
