Trivia Crack Answer: Bon Jovi
About Livin’ On a Prayer’
Bon Jovi released the single ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’. ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ was the second single on the band’s first successful album, Slippery When Wet. ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ and ‘You Give Love a Bad Name’ both reached number one on the Billboard charts. Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, lead singer and guitarist, performed ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ and ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ live with only acoustic guitars at the MTV VMAs in 1989. This performance was the inspiration for MTV’s Unplugged series. Shortly after this performance, the band took a year long hiatus. To this day, Bon Jovi has released 13 albums and is reportedly at work on their 14th, to be released in 2016. Only three members of Bon Jovi have been a part of the band for all 22 active years: Jon Bon Jovi, Tico Torres (drums) and David Bryan (keyboard, back up vocals). Primarily a rock band heavily influenced by the likes of Springsteen, The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith, Bon Jovi have also dipped into country style. This was primarily after their duet with Jennifer Nettles, ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home, became immensely popular. Their album Lost Highway had a lot of country influences. Even 19 years later, ‘Livin’ On a Prayer’ is one of the group’s most popular singles.
