Trivia Crack Answer: Aurora
About Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty is named Aurora. Sleeping Beauty is a Disney film based on Charles Perrault’s and the Grimm Brothers’ folktales called The Sleeping Beauty and Little Briar Rose, respectively. Sleeping Beauty was the last fairy tale adaptation Disney did before Walt Disney died. It was released in 1959 and used arrangements of music from the Sleeping Beauty ballet written by Tchaikovsky. Sleeping Beauty is a princess named Aurora born to a king and queen who offended a very powerful fairy named Maleficent. Maleficent curses Aurora to death upon her sixteenth birthday. Another fairy changes the curse so that Aurora will sleep until she receives true love’s kiss. Aurora is then hidden in the forest and given a new name, Briar Rose, to keep her safe. Aurora falls in love with Prince Philip while she is in hiding. After falling into her sleep, Prince Philip comes to the castle where the fairies have hidden Aurora’s sleeping self, along with the rest of the kingdom, also in a deep sleep. Prince Philip fights Maleficent, who falls to her death. He then awakes Aurora, who learns her true name and her heritage. Sleeping Beauty and the prince live happily ever after.
