Trivia Crack Answer: Pink Floyd
About Pink Floyd performs the song “Another Brick in the Wall”
Pink Floyd was an English rock band formed in London in the sixties. They were a huge part of the psychedelic revolution of culture in the sixties and seventies, and remain a huge influence on contemporary rock music, progressive and psychedelic music. Pink Floyd gained influence with their distinctive sonic experimentation, long compositions, philosophical approach to lyricisms, and their elaborate live sets. Though they were moderately successful in the latter sixties and did reach some chart topping success under the leadership of Syd Barrett, their popularity really took off in the seventies, especially with the monumental albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon in 1973, Wish You Were Here in 1975, and The Wall in 1979. Syd Barrett’s departure from the initial incarnation of Pink Floyd was due to deteriorating mental stability, due in major part to significant drug use. Already existent member Roger Waters took over in Barrett’s absence, becoming the lead vocalist and lyricist as well as overall dominant songwriter for Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. They were accepted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Overall, The band has sold over 250 million records worldwide. Another Brick in the Wall is the title of a three song set variation included in Pink Floyd’s 1979 rock opera, The Wall.
